Conrad and I got onto some playtesting last night online. We tackled a lot of important issues before the game hit the team. Such as this one:

John: Lol Veltorian Golem turn 2
John: :D
Conrad: u w0t?
Conrad: oh you and your fricking Summon
John: hahahha
Conrad: s'a bloody joke
John: hey my hand got totally raped ;)
Conrad: and that like, so matters :P
John: hahha
Conrad: *spots a nerf baton on the horizon*
John: lol
Conrad: I knew summon was savagely broken
John: rofl

Summon allows you do discard cards from your hand in order to knock mana off the cost of a creature. Its blatantly broken when your starting mage is a Tier 1 with Summon allowing you to drop vast creatures on the first turn. I have since changed said mage so he no longer does that :)

Speaking of playtesting, that first run was done using Apprentice online, which really sucks for a game like Alchevien Struggle. However the full playtests will be done using the physical prints. I noticed a few days ago that I had failed to template the cards to the correct size so I had to retemplate them all. It wasn't fun but they're finally done.

Its really hard to build a deck when you can't see the cards infront of you or at least know what they all do.

Also the mana system - which is piss easy using tokens in Real life, is hampered by Apprentice's clumsy counter system.

Anyhow I get to actually play against conrad today! Hurrah!
