The RPG is doing great, my character, Ignatius is really coming along nicely and he's been a lot of fun to play. What's more I went into town today and filled in an application form for Essex University Part time employment stuff. When I got back Kris offered me a job as a mac-operating multimedia techie - Can you say "JOY!!!"
I do a lot of Digital Video editing and I totally dig all things Multi Media related so getting paid for it is gonna rock royally :D
In an idea world I'd be spending my earnings on cool things for my macs and stuff but I live in a world where I had to spend all my £1000 overdraft on food when it was supposed to be Emergency/Fun money because no-one told my grandmother to shut her frikkin' cake hole for 6 years and neither of my uncles there have worked since October (and worse still, out of choice). Consequently I have to spend my earnings on paying off my overdraft so I can spend it next frikkin' year on more food and transport ffs!! What's more I have to pay rent next year! Rent!! That's gonna be up to £100 a week!! Is there going to be money for that? Bollocks there will be!! But there'll be money for other things!!! Arrrgh!!!
Some things really piss me off, those are some of them.
HK$6 Million... £35-40 a week is what I got last year.
Still today has had some highs, in fact two in particular:
The Joy of Tech has a superb fathers day geek humor comic
and the ever fantastic Penny Arcade has a wang joke.. I've been missing those :)
Now I need to inquire as to how much I'll get paid as a techie. It had better be at least £5 an hour :)
