I got a 9 (maximum mark) on my IELTs test.
Of course, the fact that this exam is for people for whom English is a foreign language in no way diminishes the awesomeness of this achievement. *cough*
Still, that’s another prerequisite out of the way for my Hong Kong PCLL. I’ve been missing the Home of the Shiny Green Suit lately although I’m having a whale of a time here in England, spending as much time with my family as possible.
If I’m lax on posting, it’s because I’m lazy not because life isn’t sweet.

Simon Jenkins with what can only be described as the looniest piece of writing the man has produced in the 5 years I’ve been acquainted with his columns.
Star Quote:
Power has seeped away from the coalition and its still puppet ministers. It has moved out onto the streets of Baghdad and Basra — and into the morgues.
Right, those puppets we induced 11 million Iraqis to vote for who subsequently formed a government acknowledged and supported by nations the world over including through the UN.
He’s right to criticize the failings of coalition forces to effect a more lasting peace but Iraqi armed forces and Police units are both gaining considerable strength, evidenced in a lot of places throughout Iraq.
Good God Jenkins, this isn’t writing, it’s rabid lunatic ranting. You’re at the wrong paper for that sort of thing.
